Östra Göinge, a rural idyll. In the far south of Sweden, close to the Continent of Europe is the province of Skåne. The province comprises 33 municipalities, one of which Östra Göinge. Of the approximately 14,000 people who live in this very distinctive region, it covers 435 km2, 80% live in one of the larger communities: Broby, Knislinge, Hanaskog, Glimåkra and Sibbhult.
Much of the charm of Östra Göinge lies in its diversity. It is here in the northeast of Skåne that the forests of the neighbouring province of Småland merge into the open, rolling countryside of Skåne. Glittering lakes and the mighty river Helgeå are a natural haven for a stunning variety of flora and fauna.

The airport at Kristianstad is just 40 minutes from Broby.
